Artist's Comments

DeviantART, you and your minor changes! They throw me off sometimes.

I am trying out this "new" method of inking and I actually really enjoy it. I just need to be careful because it goes through a ton of ink in my microns. My 05 needs to be replaced pretty soon. Basically I ink with an 01 or 02 and then I fill in the black areas with an 02, 03, or 05. They create a specific look/texture that, if I were to go in with a black marker or larger size pen it wouldn't look uniform. So yeah.

The characters are Devon Gale, Ian Gale, and Alexander Gale. They all are a part of the "SIPIYU" Universe. Devon Gale is a paranormal investigator, Ian Gale is a kid attending the Lenor Asylum, and Alexander Gale is his father and one of the caretakers of the asylum. He is head over the boys.

Some of the anatomy's extremely wonky - something I'll need to look out for in the future in the sketching phase.

But I really like this, so I'll probably do more. And I really like how Ian came out.

Enjoy! And Happy Halloween everyone! :pumpkin:

Live life selfishly. You'll then have no regrets.

:wow: Cool inking style, I'm loving the heavy shadows! The outlines that are kept white help keep the details from being lost. It looks very neat this way. =)

Anatomy-wise, I'd say everybody's legs are a tad short... ^^; Not horribly so, but for a bit of constructive critique. *shrug*

I always imagined Ian with very different hair. I really like his pose though and how one can follow his focus.

Alexander's tie seems short but that might just be because I'm used to really long ties so my perception is off

I know what you mean. I don't post alot of my inked works on here (no scanner), but I go threw 08 (my fav with the big area's) like a kid in a candy store. I recently broke mine...and though I could shade with the other's...The big ones are all that's left *cries*

Wow. Nice line work. Especially with the white ones. Those must suck.

Golly. This is increasingly inspiring me to ink... It must be a great way to study shadows too. Great work
