Commission for Germancitygirl (I so don't know if she has a DA or not..)

It's not entirely finished. She specifically wanted a coloring style but I whipped this up quick for her to take to a game (hopefully I made it in time, though I have a feeling I didn't), and I told her I'd recolor it to her expectations without charge.

@_@ W00t. Painterly stuff in Photoshop. And very bright, so be warned. x_O; *seeing funky colors* Staring at bright red for an hour or two is rough.

Her lightsaber is actually supposed to be blue but with the effects I used, she came out reddish and green.

Green and orange is also a very strong color combination as it is a minor complement. Orange and Blue would be awesome as well. If I knew more about photoshop I could help with some of the color adjustments, but I don't know enough to isolate the green colors and shift them to blue.... Not to mention the natural saturation level of the blue will be less than the green at such light values... anyhoooo... I think you did a great job. I'm not sure if you studied any color theory, but it feels like you have the way you pulled of this drawing. I love the looser digital painting style.

Be careful w/ the under side of the jedi tunic that around the character's extended leg... That red-orange is almost as bright as the background and the color is intense enough/ has high enough saturation that it's nearly matching the saturation on the green and pulling attention away from the green. It's kind of upsetting the happy balance of the white words, figure, and lightsabre (green), which makes the audience's eye to a nice diagnol to the bottom right corner and loop back up again.... that red-orange is just strong enough it's trying to get too much attention...

I hope this makes sense. I still really like the picture and how you've managed to attractively use such blinding colors (I suck and really bright things like this...) :)

very nice, the lightsaber looks rather odd though.

I like the way you executed this and managed to use bright blinding colours without screwing up 8D (the pic and/or your eyes)

It's also well drawn, but her right leg is positioned in such a way that it's impossible ><""
Usually when a person has their leg out in that position, they bend mostly at their waist, not their hip. Even some of the most flexible people find it hard to lift their leg up to there =3

Meep O__O

I don't even remember what/who was the slide mashtah...

Why thank you, and I understand what you're saying about the underside of the coat. It's like ".. Wow, my eyes DO do that.."

Nope, never really studied color theory except that I know Red and Green complement each other, as Orange and blue do, so I kind of went with that and it turned out to be Orange and green. XD
