I hate giving titles to scraps because it feels like I need to give it a proper title when I have nothing that I can think of.
This was just me playing around to take a break from working on commissions. I wanted to play with the pen nibs I had since manga artists usually ink with stuff like that. And I forgot that they have the pressure sensitivity that liners don't really have. They're just a bit trickier to work with, I guess. That and I always feel like my ink's gonna fall out. +_+;; This is really rough. I totally butchered the scan. But I liked how rough it came out so I kept it, and then added the screen tones digitally because I would fail more at them in person. A bit of a Kubo Tite influence in there. I'm also getting really inspired by Hayao Miyazaki's Spirited Away, too, as far as Tama's stylization, so there might be more of that influence in the future. Art © Melissa S.
