The title is "Myth of Tegoraikou", and before you maul us with weeaboo insults, goraikou is supposedly a term for "the rising sun" (I mean, when we titled this thing a few years ago, we were totally looking for something cool) and I have no idea where the 'te' came from, but, whatever!

Info about the story:

The land of ancient Japan (be prepared, weeaboo haters) is split into two groups, the Samurai clan and the Ninja clan. In this ancient land of Japan it is said that there exists a legendary weapon/item that can give the holder ultimate power. In this land, there also exists a goddess who maintains balance in the world. This group basically gathers by random... grouping. It starts with Kaidou, who meets Mizue, who meets Mibu, where they all somehow run into Tachibana and the Ladies, and the Old Lady is just sort of there every now and then.

About the characters:

Mizue (The girl in a white kimono thing): She is a former Samurai-clan member who fled and met with Kaidou during a bar fight. Kaidou and her decided to follow along together because Mibu framed them for killing a Samurai general. Mizue generally keeps a calm mood but is known to change it quickly.

Kaidou (the boy in white): He comes from a neutral part of ancient Japan, but like other male children reaching the age of 15, he sets off to decide which clan to join. Along the way he meets Mizue during a bar fight in the land of the Samurai clan. Him and Mizue are then framed by Mibu, so they decide to pursue him. Kaidou is rather light-hearted and naive and tries to have a strong sense of justice.

Mibu (ninja dude with gray-ish hair): Mibu happened upon Kaidou and Mizue after killing a Samurai general. He framed them and fled. Mibu is a high leader of the ninja clan and is very serious. His people take highest priority and he shows very little emotion.

Ladies (generic asian ladies): The Ladies are nicknamed "The Ladies" because we're too lazy to give them names. They are supposed to look like generic asian ladies, and they wear scroll-holders on their backs. They are seen when Tachibana joins the group.

Tachibana (man in the back): He is also a former Samurai-clan member with a rather mysterious past. He happens upon the group randomly with the Ladies at his side. He is quite the con-artist, deceptive, but good-natured and good-mannered.

Old Lady (in the far back): She is a very mysterious character. She appears randomly throughout the villages that the group settles at and gives Kaidou and others advice, but mainly Kaidou. She seems to know a lot about him and has an odd connection with Mizue, but her background is very, very unknown.
