The white-haired boy's name is Tama. The black-haired boy's name is Ame. They're from another story thing I've been messing around with. It's really heavily based on Shinto Religion... but it's also really rough and I probably won't share more than art because I still have a lot of research to do |D; And I need to prepare myself before intelligent folk come and beat me over with a "STFU" 2x4.
Let's see here.. Tama is a yurei. His mother killed him because she wanted to end his suffering (he's been very ill his whole life).
Ame is short for Ame-furi-kozo, I believe, which is a weather spirit of an odd young boy who plays in rain puddles. He wears an umbrella over his body and carries a paper lantern.
SO. This here's Tama and Ame, in some sort of.. mock.. anime thing? I don't know. I tried to do a much more anime-feel with this than what I usually go for, so there's bright colors, cel-shading... and of course, blue skies and grass! ;;;
Two of the main clouds (which probably make no sense in the cloud world) are shaped like shi-shi dogs.. or at least, that's what I tried to go for. I kept Ame with lots of blues because he's a rain boy. The background was done using =HiddenGems' Cloudy Sky Tutorial.
ANYWAY. I've completely butchered anatomy in this.. Tama's shoulders are way not leveled, and.. they look extremely tall/too old for what I intend for them, so yeah. Tama's supposed to be around 14 and Ame's probably supposed to look around 10. And the clouds don't really match, but they're giving off some aesthetic that I like. Next time I think I'll try and hand-paint proper clouds now that I know which way the sky gradient goes. e_e;
... ENJOY!
EDIT: Oh wait! The title "Fly Free" is a song title from a song by the j-rap/hip-hop group "Poplar". They're on iTunes if any of you iTuners are curious.. but I can't find much on them anywhere else so I guess they're not well-known? I dunno.
EDIT2: The patterns from the clothes are from this place!

I can't paint a flower as lovely as God, but does it mean I should not try?
